These awards and scholarships are awarded in the spring of each year to our most outstanding students. As faculty, we hold these awards and scholarships in very high regard and we have high esteem for those individuals who have made these available to our students. Though we are saddened by the loss of those individuals who are honored in memorial, the awarding of each of these prizes makes a clear statement of recognition of high achievement to the recipient. In honor of those who have made these awards and scholarships possible, we offer our thanks and we set very high standards of all recipients.
To be honored with an award, a student must submit his or her portfolio, research papers, and transcript to the department in May of each school year. After careful examination and consideration, the fine arts faculty give each award only to those students who display outstanding achievement.
